Minimum Qualifications:

• Possess a Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Social Work; AND Have an LMSW or LLMSW from the State of Michigan Department of Consumer and Industry Services.
• OR Possess a Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Counseling; AND Have an LPC or LLPC from the State of Michigan Department of Consumer and Industry Services.
• Possess a valid motor vehicle operator or chauffeur's license, and auto insurance.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provides individual, group, conjoint or family psychotherapy and support services to children with severe emotional disturbance and their family.
• Conducts clinical assessments, develops diagnoses, and participates in developing person/family centered treatment plans with client families.
• Monitors client progress and coordinates appropriate mental health and other needed services.
• Responsible for maintaining an electronic and paper chart which includes required documentation of services provided, progress notes, treatment plans, periodic reviews and client rights documents.
• Participates in individual supervision and team meetings to review progress, identify barriers and develop strategies for better assisting families in reaching their goals.
• Participate in utilization review committee meetings for the purpose of reviewing case records for contract compliancy, quality assurance, appropriateness of services and treatment progress.
• Provides crisis intervention on an on-call rotation basis to help offset potential risk of self-harm or conditions which could lead to out of home placement.
• Ensures that paperwork is maintained in accordance with Medicaid and DHHS as well as Easterseals MORC policies and procedures.
• Responsible for ensuring all medically necessary services are authorized for all consumers.
