Full Time and Part Time position available Core Competencies Exceptional personal and professional customer service Effective communication and interpersonal skills Accurate attention to detail and organization Roles and Responsibilities The PSR is a crucial role in our facility. You will be expected to demonstrate exemplary customer service when servicing patients with the utmost professionalism and respect. We want all of our patients to feel welcome and important to us, and we count on our PSR's to provide that. You're responsible for accurate insurance information to be relayed to the patient, but also applied to their patient account in the software because you will be presenting treatment plans and discussing finances. You MUST be confidant and comfortable explaining treatment, payments, and payment options. Having a good understanding of the value of the treatment goes a long way. Duties include, but are not limited to: Greet patients and guests upon arrival with a pleasant demeanor Answers phone calls and emails and deliver messages promptly and as needed Confirm and update patient identification, demographic and insurance information Obtains patient consents/referrals/authorizations Schedules appointments as necessary and maintains an optimal schedule by managing cancellations, changes or delays to appointment status Verify insurance coverage and collect payments Make financial arrangements and collect co-payments Keeps waiting area clean and comfortable Maintains an organized and clutter free work area Present treatment plan options Track case acceptance and coordinate follow ups Run reports and track other key performance indicators Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications and Skills H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Exceptional customer service skills and phone etiquette, including the ability to use independent thinking, sound judgment and creativity when resolving patient issues Strong computer skills Highly organized with excellent communication skills (both written and oral) Willing to serve the Practice with a flexible schedule Preferred Qualifications and Skills Previous experience in dental Working knowledge of dental procedures, treatment, insurance clauses, limitations, and terminology Personal desire to grow and learn (AKA a "go-getter") Passion for dentistry & desire for growth.
