Program Coordinator
$100kCrossover for Work
$100,000 annual salary paid weekly, health/dental/vision coverage starting day one Full-time on-site position at one Alpha campus: Phoenix, AZ; Oklahoma City or Tulsa, OK; Fort Worth (Keller), Dallas, Plano, or The Woodlands, TX; or Park City (Salt Lake City), UT (relocation assistance available) 40-hour workweek, 100% classroom-based with K-2 students You’ve invested years building expertise in structured literacy. Orton-Gillingham, LETRS, Wilson, IMSE, or perhaps a Master’s in reading instruction. You recognize a student's miscue and immediately identify the phonemic gap. You design phonics instruction without relying on scripted materials. That’s baseline. It won't differentiate you. What sets you apart is that six‑year‑olds respond to you with enthusiasm. At Alpha, this position is Guide‑first: a dynamic, magnetic presence children genuinely enjoy learning with. Your structured‑literacy background opens the door; your capacity to engage a K‑2 classroom completely during a 20‑minute workshop is what secures the hire. If “dynamic, magnetic presence” doesn't fit your style, this position isn't right for you. Alpha has replaced traditional instruction models. Students progress through academic content independently using AI‑adaptive applications — no lectures, textbooks, or pacing calendars. Your function is the singular place where human expertise cannot be substituted. You create small‑group reading workshops driven by live student performance data, and you facilitate motivation sessions designed to ensure 100% of students reach their weekly app targets using Alpha's motivational framework (school currency, leaderboards, developmentally appropriate gamification). Your initial months focus on establishing credibility with students. Workshops must be engaging, appropriately leveled, and demonstrably effective. Student satisfaction metrics and “love your Guide” survey results (target 90%+) directly reflect your success. Once proven, your responsibilities expand: analyzing AI‑generated performance data to refine subsequent instruction, communicating fluency progress and decoding growth to parents, and influencing how Alpha's K‑2 reading methodology evolves with the adaptive technology. As Alpha opens additional campuses, your work becomes the blueprint for reading instruction across the network. Prior to hire, you'll submit a brief video telling an engaging story suited for young children, and you'll complete a full day on campus working directly with K‑2 students. Low energy with children disqualifies candidates regardless of credentials. This is intentional. Apply today. What You Will Be Doing Creating and facilitating small‑group K‑2 reading workshops rooted in structured‑literacy approaches (Orton‑Gillingham, Wilson, LETRS, IMSE, or comparable), informed by live student data Facilitating daily motivation sessions designed to ensure 100% of students achieve their weekly adaptive‑app targets, leveraging Alpha's motivational framework (school currency, leaderboards, developmentally appropriate gamification) Conducting and evaluating running records, fluency assessments, and decoding evaluations to monitor progress and refine subsequent instruction Analyzing AI‑generated performance data from Alpha's adaptive learning platforms to differentiate instruction dynamically, not solely during advance planning Serving as the engaging, energetic adult your K‑2 students anticipate working with daily What You Won’t Be Doing Implementing a published reading curriculum, scripted materials, or district pacing calendar; you create lessons directly from student data Delivering whole‑class lectures; all instruction occurs in small, targeted groups while students complete core subjects through adaptive apps Serving as a reading consultant, instructional coach to teachers, or district‑level specialist; you work in the classroom with students every day Managing a traditional classroom schedule — subject‑by‑subject lectures, homework correction, test preparation; your time is allocated to workshops, motivation sessions, and data‑informed small groups Evaluating homework or issuing report cards; student progress is tracked through app data and your running records Literacy Program Coordinator Key Responsibilities Provide structured‑literacy instruction that produces measurable acceleration in K‑2 reading outcomes across phonics, fluency, and decoding. Basic Requirements Structured‑literacy certification (Orton‑Gillingham, LETRS, Wilson Reading System, IMSE, CERI, Neuhaus, UFLI, or equivalent) OR Master's degree in reading instruction Bachelor's degree in any discipline, plus 2+ years of full‑time K‑2 structured reading instruction in a school or clinical environment, using systematic phonics or structured literacy Proven capacity to design independent reading lessons and articulate instructional methods and content, without dependence on a published program Availability to work in person full‑time at one Alpha campus: Phoenix, AZ; Oklahoma City or Tulsa, OK; Fort Worth (Keller), Dallas, Plano, or The Woodlands, TX; or Park City (Salt Lake City), UT (relocation assistance available) Willingness to work with all K‑2 students (not limited to struggling readers) and to incorporate AI and adaptive‑learning technology into daily instruction Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship Nice‑to‑have Requirements Direct experience with AI‑powered or adaptive reading platforms (e.g., Amira, Lexia, i‑Ready, Reading Plus) for instructional planning or student data interpretation Documented record of measurable reading outcomes (fluency gains in WCPM, accuracy improvement, decoding level advancement) you can quantify Experience in non‑traditional or innovative educational models (charter, micro‑school, Montessori, hybrid) Experience in performance, youth sports coaching, or otherwise engaging a K‑2 audience beyond the reading classroom Working with us This is a full‑time (40 hours per week), long‑term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
