Graduate Nurse (PCU) - part time, nights - Mercy Jefferson

Cardiac Med Intermediate GN 12 hours per week, Nights Mercy Hospital Jefferson, Festus, MO 63028 We are also known as the Progressive Care Unit or PCU. Our unit is an intermediate unit that is a step down from our intensive care but a step above med/surg as far as patient acuity. Cardiac, Respiratory distress, Septic. No vents. Mainly serve cardiac patients, also acute respiratory (no vents but high flow O2 needs/new BiPAP), etc. Then mix of any other disease process in which the physicians determine patient is too sick for floor; but not yet ICU level of care. Fast paced unit combining aspects of ED and ICU into one department busyness of ED & critical care aspect of ICU. Requires and builds strong assessment skills and teamwork. Qualifications Required Education: Practical Nursing Degree from an accredited school License: Current RN license in our state or can be obtained within 90 days Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association, IV Certification within 1 year.
