Surgical Scheduler

Position Overview

A leading multi-specialty surgical practice is seeking a Surgical Scheduler to coordinate procedures, patient appointments, and provider calendars. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring a smooth experience for patients while maintaining efficient scheduling operations across clinical and surgical services.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgical procedures, consultations, and follow-up visits
• Coordinate with providers, hospitals, and patients regarding surgical logistics
• Confirm receipt of required authorizations, clearances, and documentation
• Communicate pre-operative and post-operative instructions
• Maintain accurate scheduling records within the practice management system
• Manage provider calendars and appointment changes
• Ensure timely communication with patients and clinical staff

Qualifications

• 2+ years of surgical scheduling or medical office experience preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare workflows
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems preferred
