Job Summary

This role supports the design, drafting, and implementation of instrumentation and control systems for power and industrial projects. The I&C Engineer will develop drawings and technical documentation, coordinate with engineering and construction teams, and support FAT, SAT, commissioning, and field troubleshooting activities. Candidates should have I&C engineering experience, exposure to power systems, and preferably experience in oil & gas facilities with on-site power generation.

Job Description

• Develop and modify instrumentation and control system designs and drawings.
• Prepare instrument installation details, loop diagrams, and location plans.
• Review vendor documentation and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Assist construction teams with field issues and technical support.
• Support 3D modeling and drafting using AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar tools.
• Participate in control system design including PLC, DCS, SCADA, SIS, and BMS systems.
• Assist with communication network design such as ControlNet, DeviceNet, Profibus, and Ethernet/IP.
• Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and system commissioning activities.
• Complete as-built drawings using RFIs, ECNs, and construction redlines.
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards, company standards, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and project teams.
• Manage assigned tasks to meet project schedules and budgets.
• Perform design reviews and quality checks on instrumentation deliverables.

Skills Required

• Experience as an I&C Engineer
• Exposure to or experience with power systems
• Background in oil & gas environments is acceptable, particularly where facilities include on-site power generation (e.g., refineries)

Education/Training/Certifications

• Associate Degree or High School Diploma with relevant industry experience, or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
