Communications Coordinator

The Gathering Spot is looking to hire a Communications Specialist within the marketing department reporting to the Band Manager to be responsible for member communications. Job Responsibilities: Drafting targeted communications to members regarding member events, club updates, and member benefits including but not limited to: Email Push Notifications Text Messaging Managing Email Lists - updating, segmenting, cleaning Act as a liaison between membership, operations and marketing team to communicate necessary information to membership Works closely with Member Events team to monitor event attendance and adjust communications accordingly Ideates and creates local promotions to attract new members and increase engagement of existing members Job Requirements: Strong written and oral communication skills Attention to detail in order to produce timely, error-free work Proficient in email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp Design skills including Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva recommended Hands-on experience with web content management tools, like WordPress Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines Thrives in continuous improvement, fast-paced environment Undergraduate degree preferred but not required Flexibility including availability for weekend and evening work Job Benefts: Joining a fast-faced, growing company Competitive benefits package including company-paid health care Company provided lunch when working on site Flexible work from home company culture allows for 2 days work from home per week The Gathering Spot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
