Senior Analyst, Mergers and Acquisitions

Job Description
SBI Partners has been engaged on a search for a Senior M&A Analyst to join a newly formed, private equity-backed platform headquartered in Chicago.
\n \nThis is a unique ground-floor opportunity to join a growing organization at an early stage and work directly with senior leadership as the company executes an acquisition-driven growth strategy.
\n \nThe role will have significant exposure across M&A, finance, operations, and strategy. Approximately 50% of the position will focus on M&A, 25% on building out FP&A capabilities, and 25% "other".
\n \nKey Responsibilities
\n• Evaluate acquisition opportunities and help manage the M&A pipeline
\n• Build financial models, valuations, and investment analysis
\n• Prepare investment packages and materials to support acquisition decisions
\n• Coordinate financial and operational diligence
\n• Assist with proposals, LOIs, purchase agreements, and other transaction-related documents
\n• Support the development of FP&A processes, reporting, forecasting, and analysis
\n• Partner across finance, operations, business development, and strategy
\n• Take on additional strategic projects as the platform continues to scale
\n \nQualifications
\n• 3+ years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, or corporate development.
\n• Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills
\n• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint capabilities
\n• Comfortable leveraging AI and other technology tools to improve efficiency and analysis
\n• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree a plus
\n \nWhy This Opportunity
\nThis is not a traditional analyst seat within a large corporate environment. The person joining will have an opportunity to get involved at the ground level of a newly formed platform, work closely with senior leadership, and gain hands-on exposure to both acquisitions and the financial infrastructure required to scale the business.
\n \nThe role offers a combination of transaction experience, FP&A, and broader strategic exposure that is difficult to find in a typical M&A or finance position.
