Director, Software Engineering (Salesforce)

Salary: $166,000 - 206,000 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for someone with 4+ years of leadership experience in software engineering, including team management.
• We need 6+ years of experience leading problem resolution, issue remediation, and IT deployments.
• We require 6+ years of experience partnering with business leaders on a daily or weekly basis.
• We expect 4+ years of experience handling merit reviews and compensation management.
• We require 6+ years of hands-on software development or engineering experience.
• We need 2+ years of experience with formal project management methods such as Agile or Scrum.
• We expect 2+ years of experience in tactical planning.
• We are seeking a strong understanding of scalable technology architectures.
• We require experience with tools such as JIRA and TFS.
• We need advanced knowledge of the Salesforce CRM platform.
• We require experience developing with Apex, Flows, Lightning components, and third-party integrations using platform events.
• A bachelors degree or equivalent documented experience is required.

• We will lead and support a small software engineering team in a matrixed environment.
• We will strengthen our engineering teams culture and performance while leading by example as servant-leaders.
• We will collaborate with peers and organizational leaders to maintain strong team morale.
• We will coach team members and hold them accountable for growth and performance.
• We will work with the Senior Director of Software Engineering to define and improve engineering tools, methods, and practices.
• We will ensure our team follows common engineering standards, collaboration norms, operational practices, and architectural principles.
• We will communicate sprint delays or delivery risks promptly to stakeholders and leadership.
• We will oversee scrum master duties and manage the regular sprint backlog.
• We will execute sprints to keep pace with the software engineering roadmap.
• We will ensure team members receive appropriate training and enrichment opportunities.
• We will maintain and run an on-call rotation.
• We will ensure incident management, change management, security, and escalation procedures are followed.
• We will prepare and conduct performance reviews.
• We may directly manage software developers and software engineers.
