Accounts Receivable Clerk

Position Overview Accounting Clerk at South Seas Resort, Captiva Island, Florida. The role involves ensuring accurate recording of daily revenue transactions, reconciling daily totals, processing accounts payable invoices, and preparing accounts receivable invoices. Responsibilities Accurately and timely record daily outlet totals and input revenues into revenue reports. Maintain appropriate supporting documentation for all revenue entries. Balance daily credit card postings and reconcile settlements. Distribute daily reports in a timely manner and file all accounting reports. Notify outlets when discrepancies arise. Compare purchase orders to invoices and enter the AP system for payment processing with management approvals. Prepare checks with supporting invoices for signature approval. Ensure all accounts receivable supporting documentation is accurate. Prepare and send accounts receivable invoices for approval. Perform all activities professionally and in accordance with company policies. Qualifications College degree in accounting or equivalent work experience preferred. Extensive knowledge of a hotel front office system preferred. Understanding of POS systems and how they maintain and process information desired. Advanced computer skills with a focus on accounting. Proficiency in Excel, including formulas, VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and IF/THEN functions. Compensation $25.00 - $25.00 per hour.
