So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.About the JobThe Supply Chain Planner plays a key role in supporting operational performance by translating demand forecasts into effective supply plans that help ensure product availability, optimize inventory, and support customer expectations. This position is responsible for mid-term supply chain planning activities, balancing demand, supply, inventory, and production capacity while identifying and mitigating potential risks.The successful candidate will collaborate across multiple functions to improve planning processes, support business objectives, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.This is an on-site role located in Richmond, VA. Relocation assistance available.As a part of the team, you will:Lead and coordinate supply chain planning activities in partnership with product groups and operational teams.Facilitate monthly supply reviews and drive actions to address supply risks, constraints, and gaps. Develop and implement inventory strategies aligned with service, operational, and business objectives.Convert demand forecasts into actionable supply and component plans.Maintain planning data integrity and support accurate decision-making through analysis and reporting.Monitor supply chain performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.Partner cross-functionally to optimize end-to-end supply chain processes and support business continuity.Support continuous improvement initiatives, process enhancements, and waste reduction efforts.Identify, evaluate, and mitigate supply chain risks to maintain operational efficiency and customer service levels.At Alfa Laval, we pride ourselves on creating an inclusive and dynamic workplace that values diverse perspectives and experiences. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.What you know:You have a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field (required), and:Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain planning, production planning, materials planning, or a related role within a manufacturing environment.Experience working with ERP systems and planning tools.Knowledge of supply chain planning principles, inventory management, and manufacturing operations.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data to support decision-making.Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across functions and levels of the organization.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.We care about diversity, inclusion and equity in our recruitment processes. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location.
