Senior Pricing Manager

Overall Goal of the Position:
The Sr. Manager, Pricing is responsible for building and leading the pricing capability with a focus on Sauer's Away From Home (AFH) business, including pricing strategy, bid support, profitability management, and pricing governance. This individual will establish the frameworks, processes, controls, and decision rights needed to drive consistent, scalable pricing decisions while partnering closely with Sales, Finance, Brand, Supply Chain, and Revenue Growth Management. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical rigor and commercial judgment with the ability to build structure, influence cross-functional teams, and drive profitable growth in a fast-paced, evolving environment. This position will report to the VP, Sales Strategy.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Pricing Strategy & Execution

• Build and own the AFH pricing process, intake, guardrails, approval routing, and decision ownership, and lead execution of bids, RFPs, renewals, and customer opportunities.
• Automate and delegate small, high-frequency bids so the team's time goes to strategic, high-value opportunities.
• Partner with Sales on competitive pricing strategies, translating analysis into clear recommendations with options, risks, and decision points.
• Lead renewal planning and monitor active agreements for margin leakage, outdated terms, and recurring exceptions.
• Provide direction, coaching, and workload management for Pricing Manager and Pricing Analysts as well as support resources, building capability and accountability on the team.

Deal Economics and Margin Management

• Provide pricing intelligence by analyzing wins, losses, and the price required to win, building a feedback loop on what it takes to be competitive by channel and customer type, not simply whether an individual deal cleared margin.

• Own deal-level profitability analysis, including gross-to-net economics, contribution margin, rebate exposure, freight impact, distributor costs, and customer-specific investment.

• Build repeatable scenario models that show the margin and volume implications of alternative pricing, rebate, allowance, and contract structures.

• Partner with Finance and RGM to apply margin guardrails, discount governance, and decision rights, and partner with Procurement on commodity dynamics (e.g., oil and eggs) to provide proactive pricing guidance to Sales.

Data Integrity and Systems

• Own a trusted pricing source of truth. Maintain accurate customer pricing records so approved pricing executes cleanly across internal systems, customer portals, brokers, and distributors.
• Strengthen accuracy across pricing tools and TPM (e.g., Blacksmith) through reliable reporting, disciplined documentation, and remediation of legacy gaps surfaced through audit.
• Improve broker and distributor coordination so submitted deals, portals, and downstream pricing can be tracked without manual reconstruction.

• Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 8-10+ years of experience in pricing, revenue management, sales strategy, finance, commercial analytics, or related roles.
• Experience in foodservice, CPG, or Away from Home required.
• Strong financial acumen with experience evaluating gross margin, contribution margin, trade spend, rebates, allowances, freight assumptions, and customer profitability.
• Experience supporting RFPs, bids, customer quotes, pricing exceptions, contract renewals, or deal desk processes.
• Advanced Excel and analytical modeling skills required; experience with ERP, TPM, CRM, pricing tools, or reporting platforms preferred.
