Wendling, Inc. - Buckhannon, WV 26201 Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $15.00 Hourly Job Shift: Day Position Summary A Customer Service Representative plays a crucial role in ensuring the satisfaction and retention of customers by providing prompt and effective assistance. They serve as a point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and processing orders or requests. Customer Service Representatives must possess strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a customer-focused mindset to deliver exceptional service and uphold the reputation of A.F. Wendling’s. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Serve as a point of contact for customers via phone, email, or in-person interactions. Respond promptly and courteously to customer inquiries, providing accurate information and assistance. Resolve customer issues or complaints in a timely and efficient manner, escalating complex issues to appropriate channels as needed. Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, logistics, and finance, to address customer needs and ensure timely resolution of issues. Process orders, returns, and exchanges according to company policies and procedures. Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell products or services to customers based on their needs and preferences. Stay updated on product knowledge, promotions, and company policies to provide accurate information to customers. Ability to problem solve quickly and creatively. Goal-oriented and driven self-start who can work independently within a team environment. Qualifications Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: HS Diploma or equivalent. Experience in Customer Service. Basic Computer knowledge including understanding of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Teams. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to empathize with customers. Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically. Ability to complete tasks under standardized situations with occasional variables. Physical Requirements Physical ability to lift, carry, and position up to 20 lb. Must be able to work at a desk for extended periods of time. Work Environment Work hours may vary, or change based on department requirements. The job is primarily performed in an office environment.
