Travel Stepdown/Cardiac Neuro RN | Days | 13-Week Contract

Join a highly respected Cardiac Neuro Stepdown team at a teaching hospital known for its outstanding leadership and low staff turnover!

Location: Evansville, IN (Midtown Campus)

Specialty: Stepdown / Cardiac Neuro RN

Shift: Days | 3x12s (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)

Contract: 13 Weeks

Requirements:

✅ Active Compact RN License
✅ AHA BLS, ACLS & NIHSS required
✅ Recent EPIC experience required
✅ 2 years of Stepdown experience + 1 travel assignment OR 5 years of Stepdown experience (no travel required)
✅ Must pass telemetry interpretation testing

Required Skills:

• Telemetry & 12-lead EKG interpretation
• Post-cardiac cath care (TR Bands/Femoral access)
• Titrate Cardizem, Amiodarone, Cardene, Nitroglycerin, Insulin & Heparin drips
• Strong NIHSS and neurological assessments
• Sepsis management
• Chest tube care
• Peripheral IV insertion

Patient Population:

• STEMI/NSTEMI
• Post-cardiac cath, stents, pacemakers, ICDs & ablations
• CVA, seizures, possible TBI
• Sepsis
• DKA
• Carotid endarterectomy patients
