Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – Elementary School Opportunity – Ventura, CA

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking dedicated Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) to join a supportive school-based team in the Ventura, CA area for the upcoming school year.

This opportunity offers the chance to work with elementary-aged students in a collaborative educational environment where you'll help students strengthen their communication skills and achieve academic success through evaluations, therapy services, and ongoing support.

Position Details

• Location: Ventura, CA

• Start Date: August 24, 2026

• Schedule: 40 Hours Per Week

• Duration: 39-Week School-Year Contract

• Openings: 2

• Local Pay: $90/hour

Responsibilities

• Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments

• Provide individual and group speech therapy services

• Develop and implement treatment plans based on student needs

• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration

• Maintain required documentation, progress notes, and reports

• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and related service providers

• Support students with articulation, language, fluency, and social communication needs

Qualifications

• Active California Speech Language Pathologist License

The Speech-Language Pathologist in the school setting is responsible for performing student evaluations as well as providing and documenting therapy services in accordance with the plan of care developed for each individual student and the physician's orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Licensure in the state of assignment required

• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required by state/contract.

• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
