Job Title

Registered Nurse – ICU (6-Month Contract)

Location

Des Moines, IA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every Other Weekend, Every Other Holiday

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an intensive care unit setting, monitoring and responding to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record
• Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and discharge instructions

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa or a compact state license
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum of 1–2 years of ICU or critical care nursing experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
• Familiarity with critical care documentation systems and electronic health records
• Strong critical thinking and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment
