Operations Lead

The Operations Lead supports and owns receiving, research, order creation, inventory control, client RMA processing, and shipping activities across multiple clients. This role operates independently, provides operational continuity, and ensures client service level expectations are met.

Lead and support a team of 4–8 associates in daily warehouse operations, ensuring work is assigned, prioritized, and completed accurately and on time.

Serve as a subject matter resource across receiving, research, order creation, inventory control, client RMA processing, and shipping functions outlined in the general description.

Coordinate inbound receiving activities, including receiving, sorting, and stowing inventory for assigned clients while maintaining productivity and service level expectations.

Monitor daily workflow and balance labor across functions to support operational continuity and meet customer and client requirements.

Provide hands-on support in research activities by investigating inventory discrepancies, resolving order exceptions, and ensuring timely movement of work to the appropriate status.

Perform and oversee order creation, LOT closures, RA approvals, and pick, pack, and ship activities to ensure accurate end-to-end execution.

Support inventory control through accurate transactions, system updates, audits, and follow-up on variances affecting client inventory or order fulfillment.

Execute and monitor scheduled shipments, pallet preparation, and shipment requests, including recurring and client-specific shipping requirements.

Train, coach, and cross-train associates on standard work, safety, quality expectations, and client-specific processes to build team capability and coverage.

Verify team accuracy, productivity, and adherence to standard operating procedures, and escalate operational issues as needed to leadership.

Communicate effectively with internal leadership and cross-functional partners regarding workflow status, priorities, service risks, and operational needs.

Assist with client support activities by providing timely updates on inventory, orders, shipping status, and exception resolution when required.

Identify process improvement opportunities, support SOP development and updates, and help implement changes that improve quality, efficiency, and consistency.

Maintain the ability to perform essential warehouse tasks directly and provide floor coverage as needed to support business continuity.

Assist with additional operational tasks, reporting, or process improvement initiatives as assigned to support business needs.
