Urgent Care Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner

Position Overview

One of our Partners in coastal North Carolina is seeking an experienced Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity supporting FastMed clinic locations in Wilmington and Leland, NC.

Highlights include:

Full-time ongoing schedule
No call responsibilities
Outpatient-only urgent care
Epic EMR
Fast credentialing timeline
Consistent shift availability
Coastal North Carolina location

Providers will treat both adult and pediatric patients in a high-volume urgent care environment while working alongside experienced support staff. Candidates must be comfortable independently evaluating, diagnosing, and treating urgent care presentations including minor procedures.

Provider Pay Ranking: Top 15% of comparable APP urgent care locum assignments in the Southeast market based on current 2026 rates.

Outpatient urgent care only
No inpatient responsibilities
No call requirements
Full-time ongoing coverage need
Local candidates strongly preferred
Epic EMR environment
High-volume urgent care practice
Ability to work independently required
Adults and pediatric patients (6 months+) required
Credentialing timeline approximately 20 days
HPA Healthcare is Joint Commission-certified
