Job Description

Perform the fabrication, wrapping, detailing, fitment, and installation of high-end aircraft interior panels for luxury and private aircraft within an FAA Certified Part 145 Repair Station environment. Work includes preparing composite, honeycomb, and aluminum panels; applying premium interior materials; completing precision detailing; performing aircraft cabin installations; and maintaining compliance with applicable repair station procedures, FAA requirements, material traceability, and flammability standards.

*Corporate - Gulfstream, Citation, and King Air type aircraft
*Contract - Long-Term
*First Shift (Standard); must be open to Second Shift based on production needs, with a $5.00 per hour shift differential
*Tools Required
*$32.00 - $34.00 per hour base rate

#Education & Job Requirements

*3+ years of experience in VIP or corporate aircraft upholstery or interior completions within an FAA-regulated environment
*Demonstrated experience working on Gulfstream, Citation, and King Air type aircraft platforms
*Proficiency with industrial sewing machines, material layout maximization, leather skiving, and specialized adhesive application systems
*Working knowledge of FAA Part 145 repair station procedures, return-to-service logs, and burn certification and flammability compliance
*Must provide own basic hand tools tailored for aircraft interior disassembly, upholstery manipulation, and installation
*Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
*Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals

#Preferred Skills

*Experience applying premium leather, and specialized fabrics to aircraft interior panels
*Familiarity with composite, honeycomb, and aluminum aircraft panel preparation and modification

#Job Duties & Functions

*Clean, prepare, repair, and modify composite, honeycomb, and aluminum aircraft panels, including sidewalls, headliners, bulkheads, and valances, before material application
*Apply foam backing and wrap panels using premium leather, Alcantara, silks, and specialized fabrics while maintaining surfaces free of wrinkles, bubbles, and alignment shifts
*Ensure work aligns with Repair Station Manual (RSM) guidelines and applicable FAA requirements
*Verify foams, fabrics, adhesives, and other materials have proper traceability and meet FAA flammability requirements under 14 CFR 25.853
*Complete and sign contract work orders and maintenance logs accurately
*Perform trial fitments and final aircraft cabin installations while maintaining flush seams, tight tolerances, and proper integration with hardware, lighting, and oxygen drop-out panels
*Coordinate with Quality Control inspectors to present completed panels for final airworthiness sign-off
*Correct discrepancies identified during Quality Control inspection

#Physical Requirements & Environment

*Work inside cramped aircraft fuselages
*Stand, kneel, or bend for extended periods
*Maintain strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for delicate detailing
*Safely handle chemical solvents, glues, and composite materials using required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
