Senior .Net Developer

Senior .NET Developer | Birmingham, Alabama | Hybrid | Financial Services

We’re working with an estabilished FS business based in Birmingham, Alabama that is scaling its engineering capability and investing heavily in its Azure cloud platform. They are roughly 800 headcount, and looking for a Senior .NET Developer to join a product-focused engineering team building and enhancing a FS platform used by customers across the US.

This is a hands-on development role where you’ll be working across backend services, APIs, and cloud infrastructure, helping to shape a modern, scalable platform built in Microsoft Azure.

What you’ll be doing

• Build and maintain backend services using .NET and C#
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices
• Work within a Microsoft Azure cloud environment
• Support cloud-native application design and deployment
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver new features
• Contribute to code quality, testing, and continuous improvement practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues as part of an Agile team

What we’re looking for

• Strong commercial experience with C# and .NET development
• Experience building APIs and distributed systems
• Solid understanding of Microsoft Azure services and cloud architecture
• Familiarity with SQL databases and data integration concepts
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments
• Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively in a product-led engineering team

Nice to have

• Microservices architecture experience
• Exposure to containerisation such as Docker or Kubernetes
• CI/CD experience using tools like Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
• Understanding of observability and monitoring practices
• Experience in SaaS or subscription-based platforms
