Loan Closer

LHH Recruitment is currently looking for a Senior Loan Closer for a Client in South Kansas City, MO. In this role you will be responsible for preparing legal documents for the settlement phase of residential mortgages on numerous loan types and products. Our ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of closing experience within mortgage and consumer lending. Pay for this position starts at $50,000 annually and goes up based on experience plus there are MONTHLY BONUS opportunities and a great PTO and BENEFITS package. Read below for additional details!

RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepares legal documents for the settlement phase of residential mortgages on numerous loan types and products. Provides high customer service quality, on demand, to both internal and external customers. Tracks loans expected to close daily. Determines current status of loan and effectively communicates with all parties until the loan is fully approved and forwarded to closing. Reviews all file approvals, works on clearing any closing related conditions and obtains any documentation needed to accurately close loan. Reviews documents pertinent to the closing for accuracy and ensures that each meets company and agency requirements. Prepares and audits Closing Disclosures and delivers to borrowers and settlement agents, ensuring compliance with TRID regulations and that closing dates are met. Prepares closing instructions and delivers to the settlement agent. Works with settlement agents to balance Closing Disclosures for accuracy of final numbers and electronically delivers all lender documents in accordance with company procedures. Sets up wire and sends wire transfer form to loan accounting to send funds to the closing agent. Works closely with funders, suspense and post-closing departments to obtain any items needed to deliver salable loans to investors. Miscellaneous other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS / SKILLS

High school graduate. College preferred. A least 3-5 years experience in closing mortgage loans or similar financial/banking/title company experience, including in-depth knowledge of mortgage loan documentation and investor guidelines as they relate to the Loan Closing process. Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate with all levels of professional including borrowers, attorneys, title companies, appraisers, surveyors, etc. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint and Excel Excellent self-management as well as project management skills Great attention to detail and superior organizational skills Professional presentation at all times #J-18808-Ljbffr LHH
