LEAD CARPENTER — HIGH-END RESIDENTIAL REMODELING

$35–$40/hr | Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Reston, VA

ABOUT THE ROLE

How many jobs have you run where the plans changed three times after demo? Or where you found out the cabinets were wrong the week they landed?

That is not how we work.

Synergy Design & Construction is an established design-build remodeling company in Reston. Our in-house designers lock the plans and materials before you ever step on site, so you build from a clear set — and you build it once.

We do high-end, detail-driven kitchens, baths, and whole-home renovations. We're looking for an experienced Lead Carpenter who takes pride in craftsmanship and can take ownership of the day-to-day job site while remaining hands-on in the work.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Run the day-to-day job site from demo through final punch list
• Perform hands-on carpentry: framing, cabinetry installation, and finish trim including crown, base and casing
• Build from detailed architectural plans
• Coordinate and inspect trade partners on site, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, drywall and painting
• Maintain Synergy's quality standards throughout construction
• Interact professionally with homeowners while working in their homes
• Keep the site clean, safe and on schedule
• Communicate job-site progress, questions and issues to the Production Manager

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 5+ years of experience in high-end residential remodeling — not new construction
• High-level finish carpentry skills, including inset and frameless cabinetry, scribe work, complex crown, built-ins and precision trim
• Ability to run a job site independently and lead trade partners
• Fluent in reading architectural and construction plans and building from them without hand-holding
• Conversational English — you'll interact with homeowners and work closely with our in-house team
• Organized, accountable and professional
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Genuine pride in the finished product

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• $35–$40/hour, based on experience
