- Conduct comprehensive assessments for patients across all age groups, employing both standardized and observational methods.
- Create specialized treatment plans tailored to individual short-term goals and long-term communication, cognition, or swallowing objectives.
- Offer individualized speech therapy sessions that target language, communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing concerns.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including occupational and physical therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to ensure a unified care approach.
- Provide education and resources to patients and families to promote progress beyond therapy sessions.
- Engage in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, supporting a seamless continuum of care.
- Maintain thorough documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational standards.
- Keep abreast of the latest advancements in the field through continued education and collaboration with peers.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently ASHA-certified.
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Expertise in evidence-based treatment methods across all age groups, including a solid grasp of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for engaging with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams.
- Ability to modify therapy techniques to accommodate diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Strong clinical judgment complemented by excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation protocols.
