Contract Logistics - Site Manager

Abacus Solution Group

As a Contract Logistics Site Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance of an operational site including warehousing, customer service + administration to achieve all agreed financial + operational objectives by working with a variety of internal + external stakeholders.

How you create impact

Your scope may include distribution activities depending on the location.The activities needed to deliver these objectives include:
• To achieve your key performance indicators (KPI) in the areas of safety, cost, quality, delivery, environment + people.
• To oversee the safe operation of warehousing activities, ensuring the correct skills + training is in place.
• To ensure all operational activities are compliant with external + internal requirements/standards.
• To lead all office + warehouse activities at the site while understanding + inspiring others to learn + develop.
• To drive all activities relating to customer on-boarding, retention + operational excellence.
• To drive a culture of continuous improvement, developing new initiatives for operational, service + sustainable solutions.
• To contribute information required for tenders/proposals to support closing of new business.
• To ensure that everyone involved in distribution activities delivers the right transport solutions.

• Proven experience managing multi-customer warehouse environments with strong operational oversight
• Solid leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and coach large, diverse teams
• Strong analytical capability to improve productivity, cost, space utilisation, and process efficiency
• Experience in customer engagement, QBRs, and managing service level expectations in a dynamic environment
• Confidence in driving continuous improvement, safety culture, and digitalisation initiatives
