Lead System Analyst

Job Summary The Lead System Analyst is responsible for the advanced support and maintenance of Westchester Medical Center systems and applications. These responsibilities involve software and technology upgrades, installations, maintenance, patches, quality testing, and technical support. The Lead System Analyst will supervise advanced troubleshooting tasks using established tools and protocols and will render support to end users to ensure access, functional capability, and performance. The Lead System Analyst will supervise performing upgrades, troubleshooting issues and verifying system availability and performance. An understanding of business requirements across areas such as clinical, ancillary, administrative, and financial is necessary. As a senior member of the analyst team, the Lead System Analyst documents activities, resolutions, and other outcomes throughout the lifecycle of a problem or project’s implementation. The Lead System Analyst oversees coordination and collaborates with other WMC IT teams in support of systems, project rollout, problem resolution, and end‑user support. The senior team member assists junior members on advanced aspects for growth and knowledge and is considered an SME across the WMC enterprise. Responsibilities Function as the lead member of a team in support of technology systems, infrastructure, interfaces, and peripherals. Oversee coordination of troubleshooting analyses to resolve technical issues and failures. Perform proactive and reactive oversight of system and application availability and stability. Render support to stakeholders and end users as necessary to maintain system availability. Participate and lead in project implementation assignments. Coordinate and collaborate with other WMC departments and IT teams in support of project rollout, site readiness, problem resolution, and end‑user support. Conduct site surveys, collect and analyze data. Lead in the development of project plans, dependencies, timelines, and contingencies. Document status of assignments and provide timely reporting of project status, outcomes, and problems. Act as liaison with end users for system access and usage. Facilitate activities with vendors and other outside resources to support problem resolution. Coordinate activities with outside resources to support system implementation or upgrade. Evaluate new reporting requirements and develop modifications to existing information systems. Assist in managing the team with advanced technical problems, projects, and oversight of operations. Serve in an advisory capacity with junior members of the team, providing direction, oversight, and training as needed. Act as backup manager to ensure continued operations. Qualifications / Requirements Experience 10 years of IT application support and/or data analysis, required. Experience in healthcare technology support, including hardware or infrastructure, preferred. Experience in device management/integration, preferred. Education Bachelor’s degree in information technology, science, or related field, required. Master’s degree, preferred. Required education may be substituted for four additional years of specifically related experience. Licenses / Certifications N/A Other Knowledge of computer systems and applications in meeting medical data reporting requirements; knowledge of program planning and evaluation techniques; ability to compile, analyze, and interpret medical data and forecast trends; ability to work well with medical professionals; excellent communication skills, both oral and written; ability to use computer applications such as spreadsheets, word processing, calendar, e‑mail, and database software; good judgment; initiative; accuracy; thoroughness; and physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position. #J-18808-Ljbffr
