Assistant Professor, Management (Leadership) (9 Month)

Job Title Assistant Professor, Management (Leadership) (9-Month) Department Management FLSA Status Exempt Reports To Dean or Academic Administrator Job Summary Faculty and instructors are responsible for curriculum, teaching, service, scholarship, and related administrative activities that support the mission, vision, and values of the university. The Assistant Professor of Management (Leadership) will teach 4 courses (3 credit hours each semester), advise and mentor students, develop courses, conduct research, and participate in faculty governance and campus life. This is a full-time, 9‑month position starting Fall 2026. Responsibilities Teach four full‑time courses each semester, preferably online. Advise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students. Design and redesign curricular programs and courses. Engage in research, scholarship, and service activities. Participate in faculty governance and campus life. Qualifications Terminal degree in business (MBA, Ph.D., or equivalent) with specialization in management/leadership. Substantial graduate coursework and progress toward terminal degree may be considered. Demonstrated teaching excellence, including experience teaching a wide range of undergraduate and graduate business courses. Preference for candidates with experience teaching online. Essential Job Functions and Standards Standard 1 – Teaching and Learning: design courses and create inclusive, rigorous classroom cultures for research‑based teaching. Standard 2 – Academic Service and Contributions: support and provide service to the mission and values of the university. Standard 3 – Continuous Learning and Scholarship: remain current in discipline and instructional practice through scholarship. Required Qualifications Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered. Additional requirements may be designated by position. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong communication skills, verbal and written. Decision-making and analytical skills. Technological proficiency: Microsoft Office, Canvas, LMS, and advanced technologies. Work Environment On‑campus full‑time faculty positions are non‑remote. Campus presence is required. Flexible remote work for non‑routine circumstances is at the administrator’s discretion. Physical Abilities Stamina to teach classes as required. Ability to stand or sit for extended periods. Ability to meet on‑campus requirements for classes and duties. Attendance See attendance section for rank‑specific requirements.
