Overview Laboratory Technologist (Medical Technologist) – San Luis Obispo, California – travel assignment starting 06/22/2026 for approximately 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,589–$1,667 per week. Responsibilities

• Perform clinical laboratory testing across core areas (e.g., chemistry, hematology, microbiology, transfusion services) following established protocols
• Prepare, process, and analyze patient specimens with accurate labeling and handling
• Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation; perform quality control, quality assurance, and routine maintenance
• Accurately enter results into the EPIC Beaker LIS; verify data and communicate critical findings to clinical teams
• Adhere to CLIA, safety, and institutional policies; participate in proficiency testing and continuous improvement activities
• Collaborate with pathologists, technologists, and nursing staff to support timely patient care; contribute to rotating shift coverage and on-call rotation as needed

Requirements

• Current California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license required
• EPIC Beaker experience required
• 1 year of clinical laboratory experience preferred
• Certification from ASCP or NCA preferred
• Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends; start times may vary (6:00, 9:00, 13:30, 21:00)
• Eligibility for a travel assignment in the stated location
