Lead Software Engineer - Full Stack AI/LLM

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We require formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, along with 5+ years of applied experience.
• We value demonstrated experience leading effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools for coding, code review, test acceleration, and troubleshooting, with the ability to set expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• We expect a strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security standards; coaching experience on safe, compliant adoption is preferred.
• We need advanced proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, and C#.
• We require hands-on experience with large language models and generative AI.
• We look for familiarity with AI and ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, and Hugging Face.
• We expect experience with distributed systems and cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• We require expertise in microservices, RESTful APIs, and database technologies, both relational and NoSQL.
• We value familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
• We look for experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, Blazemeter, and Chaos Monkey testing.
• We need proficiency with development and testing tools and frameworks including JUnit, UDF, Tophat, Cucumber, Groovy, Postman, REST Assured, Eclipse, Maven, Jenkins, and IntelliJ.
• We prefer cloud certification in AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• We prefer practical cloud-native development experience.
• We prefer in-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems.
• We prefer experience creating and executing performance and chaos test scripts.
• We prefer understanding of A/B testing, Chaos Monkey testing, and engineering principles.
• We value effective communication across teams and management, plus a proactive approach to process improvement.
• We prefer strong system design, application development, and operational stability skills.

• We execute creative software solutions, including design, development, and technical troubleshooting, while thinking beyond routine approaches to solve complex technical problems.
• We develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
• We drive adoption of enterprise-approved AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes, while promoting secure coding, peer review, automated testing, and reuse of effective patterns.
• We apply tools from the software development life cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value delivered through automation.
• We identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve the stability of our software applications and systems.
• We lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural designs, technical capabilities, and fit within our systems and information architecture.
• We lead communities of practice across software engineering to raise awareness and adoption of new and leading-edge technologies.
