Surgical Technologist General Vascular OR

The Surgical Technologist will provide highly skilled support in the operating room with expertise across Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Vascular, and other surgical specialties. The role involves preparing and assisting during surgical procedures, ensuring all instrumentation and central processing tasks are performed with precision. Strong critical thinking and comprehensive knowledge of surgical technology are essential to support patient safety and effective surgical outcomes. Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies.
• Assist surgeons and surgical staff during procedures by passing instruments and anticipating needs.
• Maintain sterile field and ensure adherence to infection control protocols.
• Manage surgical instrumentation and central processing duties.
• Participate in inventory management and equipment maintenance.
• Respond promptly to call assignments, arriving on site within 30 minutes.
• Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure efficient and safe surgical operations.

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Minimum of 3 years of current experience in surgical technology, including Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, and Vascular cases.
• Excellent critical thinking skills and knowledge of central processing and instrumentation.
• Ability to respond to call within 30 minutes.

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential preferred but not required.

• On-call rotation approximately every 5th weekend, split between Call 1 and Call 2.
• 1-2 call shifts per week with possible increases based on staffing needs.
• Holiday call rotation may be required depending on patient census and staffing.
• Call response time requirement of 30 minutes from notification to arrival on site.
• Minimal Return to Office (RTO) expected; candidates with minimal RTO prioritized.

• 36-40 hours per week, with flexible shift options including three 12-hour shifts, four 10-hour shifts, or five 8-hour shifts.
• Start and end times negotiable based on agreement during the interview process.
