Human Resources Intern,Las Vegas

Summary The Intern position at GES offers a unique opportunity for students and recent graduates to gain comprehensive, hands‑on experience in Human Resources. This role is designed to give the intern practical experience in HR operations, recruiting support, onboarding, employee communications, file maintenance, event coordination, and general administrative processes. The ideal candidate is a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is eager to gain comprehensive experience in Human Resources. This candidate is currently pursuing a relevant degree, such as Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, Engineering, Geology, Environmental Studies and has a strong interest within the industry. Duties and Responsibilities Participate in rotational assignments across different HR programs as assigned Engage in real‑life hands‑on projects and tasks within each rotation Collaborate with team members and contribute to ongoing projects Attend regular meetings to discuss schedules, rotations, and progress Work closely with the Deep Dig Mentor to set goals and receive guidance for each rotation Utilize access to industry professionals for career advice and support Maintain a flexible but consistent schedule to meet program requirements Other duties: complete miscellaneous tasks and projects as assigned Desired Outcomes or Results The desired outcome for the Intern position at GES is to provide the individual with a comprehensive and enriching experience that equips them with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to excel in their future careers. By the end of the internship, interns should have: Broad Exposure: Gained hands‑on experience and a deeper understanding of Human Resources functions, within GES and how HR supports the broader organization. Skill Development: Developed a diverse set of practical skills relevant to their field of study and future career aspirations. This includes technical skills, problem‑solving abilities, and effective communication. Professional Growth: Built a strong professional network by connecting with industry leaders, mentors, and peers. Intern should feel more confident in their ability to navigate the professional world. Goal Achievement: Successfully set and achieved specific, measurable goals for each rotation, demonstrating their ability to plan, execute, and reflect on their work. Career Clarity: Gained clarity on their career interests and potential paths within the industry. Intern should have a better understanding of their interests, strengths and areas for further development. Mentorship and Guidance: Benefited from regular mentorship and guidance, receiving constructive feedback and support to help them grow both personally and professionally. Contribution to Projects: Made meaningful contributions to projects and tasks within the HR program, showcasing their ability to add value to the team and the organization. Personal Development: Experienced personal growth, including improved time management, communication, adaptability, and resilience. Intern should leave the program with a stronger sense of self and a clearer vision for their future. Ultimately, the goal is for the intern to complete the program feeling empowered, knowledgeable, and prepared to take the next steps in their careers, whether within GES or in their broader professional journey. Education, Knowledge, and Skills Required or Desirables Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g., Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, Engineering, Geology, Environmental Studies or similar field) Strong interest in gaining experience across multiple disciplines. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to adapt to different work environments and tasks. Strong organizational and time management skills. What is it like working at GES?
