Sexual Health Educator II (Educator Consultant II)

Community-based Health Educators in the Sexual and Reproductive Health program work to increase King County residents’ access to high quality sexual and reproductive health services and to institutionalize the provision of sound sexual health education programs and practices, particularly in settings serving marginalized teens. The work includes direct education, community outreach, capacity building with professionals, support of our public health sexual and reproductive health clinics and facilitating a youth group for peer educators. Work will take place primarily in Federal Way (in the community and clinic site) and at home. Occasional work will occur in other areas of the county, depending on program needs. The position is Career Service and Full-Time (1.0 FTE). This position is part of a team of 5 health educators who all collaborate and support each other in this work. The Sexual and Reproductive Health Program, part of the Community Health Services Division of Public Health – Seattle & King County provides comprehensive sexual and reproductive clinical services in four Public Health Clinics, delivers innovative health education and outreach in our communities, and produces the nationally recognized FLASH curriculum. Note: This recruitment will be used to create an eligibility pool to fill additional Career Service, Term-Limited Temporary (TLT), or Special Duty Assignment (SDA) vacancies that may occur over the next six months.
