Industrial Mechanical Installer

Role Description: This role will involve installing dust collection equipment, industrial ductwork, and related mechanical components. The work will require the use of lift equipment and may include field measuring, layout, fitting, and light metal fabrication as needed. Welder/fabricators and experienced HVAC sheet metal installers are strongly encouraged to apply. We are looking for someone reliable, safety-focused, and comfortable working with a field installation crew.

Overnight travel in California is required.

Pay: $27–$34/hr DOE

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical installation and Maintenance skills applicable to industrial and manufacturing environments.
• Foundational knowledge of Mechanical Engineering principles relevant to mechanical systems, equipment alignment, and operation.
• Ability to read and interpret Computer-Aided Design (CAD) drawings, blueprints, and technical schematics.
• Experience with Inspection of mechanical components and systems for proper installation, function, and safety compliance.
• Automotive or similar hands-on mechanical experience that demonstrates practical skills with tools, equipment, and mechanical assemblies.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools, measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, tape measures, levels), and basic rigging practices.
• Understanding of industrial safety standards, including lockout/tagout, fall protection, and safe lifting practices.
• Ability to work on-site in varying environmental conditions, stand for extended periods, and lift moderate weights as required by the role.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with technicians, engineers, and project supervisors.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in industrial mechanics, fabrication, or a related field is preferred.
