RN - Emergency Room (Night Shift)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM) | 3 x 12-hour shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs using the nursing process
• Provide total patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting during night shift hours
• Direct and guide patient teaching to promote health literacy and positive outcomes
• Supervise and coordinate activities of ancillary personnel to ensure quality care delivery
• Maintain standards of professional nursing practice in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Iowa Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS/BCLS) certification through the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior Emergency Room nursing experience is preferred, though new graduates are encouraged to apply
• Familiarity with mandatory reporting requirements for child abuse and dependent adult abuse in Iowa
