Solution Architect

Job Summary:

The Solution Architect role requires an experienced IT professional responsible for leading the design and implementation of complex, medium to large-scale system development and integration projects, particularly in healthcare environments. The architect will provide technical leadership, develop architecture deliverables, and ensure the maintainability and long-term lifecycle of enterprise solutions. Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage teams of specialists, technical analysts, and programmers on IT development projects.
• Conduct technical design and requirements gathering sessions.
• Review existing systems, technologies, and healthcare integration solutions.
• Perform technical and solution due diligence for projects.
• Develop architecture and related deliverables as required.
• Stand up and deliver enterprise solutions and services, focusing on maintainability and long-term lifecycle management.
• Act as an architect in transformational projects and mentor technical teams.
• Implement or integrate systems with Drug Information Systems, preferably with Medigent DIS.
• Work with eHealth standards-based messaging including HL7 V2, V3, and FHIR.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• University degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
• Minimum 15 years of Information Management/Information Technology experience.
• At least 10 years as a lead Solution Architect on medium to large complex projects.
• Experience managing and leading technical teams for 5+ years.
• Proven experience leading technical design and requirements gathering sessions (5+ years).
• Experience developing architecture and deliverables (5+ years).
• Experience delivering enterprise solutions with maintainability focus (5+ years).
• Experience with system implementation or integration involving Drug Information Systems (3+ years).
• Hands-on experience as an architect in the eHealth space (3+ years).
• Experience with eHealth standards-based messaging: HL7 V2, V3, and FHIR (2+ years).
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience with Medigent Drug Information System (DIS).

Special Considerations:

• Projects involve multiple business units and extended durations (more than 9 months).
• Work includes handling both business transformation and technical challenges.
• Experience in the Health Insurance space is not applicable.
