Engineering Project Manager

Job Title: Project Engineering ManagerLocation: Omaha, NebraskaSalary: $125-155K plus bonusJob Summary of the Project Engineering Manager: The Project Engineering Manager position involves leading and carrying out large-scale technical projects in the food industry, requiring strong technical expertise in science and math. You will manage a team of engineers, ensuring the development and implementation of innovative solutions. Job Duties & Responsibilities of the Project Engineering Manager:· Create engineering designs, material specifications, and project cost estimates.· Conduct feasibility studies and economic analyses to support design decisions. · Verify that designs adhere to necessary standards and codes, and oversee field work validation and as-built drawing creation.· Evaluate engineering submissions for correctness and completeness. · Direct vendors and contractors to manage project execution. · Coordinate project timelines with plant staff, vendors, and contractors.· Collaborate with management and engineering teams to implement strategies.· Work with vendors and contractors to plan layouts and meet utility needs. · Review consultant work, propose adjustments, and maintain records and vendor relationships.· Plan and review projects during pre-project stages. · Define project scope, prepare and assess proposals. · Provide regular updates to management on project progress.· Handle contract administration and review bid packages. · Prepare project documentation and oversee installations to ensure compliance and budget adherence. Education & Experience Requirements of the Project Engineering Manager:· Bachelor’s Degree from a reputable four-year college or university in Engineering or related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is mandatory.· At least 2 years of leadership experience, including team management and development, is required.· Ability to apply engineering principles to operational and design challenges.· Familiarity with project scheduling for construction and installation projects.· Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.· Strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational abilities, teamwork, analysis, and adaptability are essential.
