RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work every other weekend with no call requirements
• Maintain 4:1 patient ratio for days, nights, and weekends
• Float within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Minimum 1 year of experience required - unit accepts first time travelers
• 12 hours of orientation required
• Care for adult and geriatric patients in a 28-bed unit with daily census of 28
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Work with holiday expectations: if 1-2 major holidays fall during assignment, work all; if 3 holidays fall during assignment, work 2
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Years Eve/New Years Day
• Skills include accessing/managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line care, chest tube management, and various other critical care skills
• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed per contract
• GA or Compact nursing license required at time of submission
• Full compliance required to start on time

This healthcare facility operates a progressive care unit that provides intermediate-level care for patients requiring more monitoring than general medical floors but less intensive care than ICU. The facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy services. The organization maintains high standards for patient care and utilizes modern electronic health record systems to ensure quality documentation and communication.
