ESH's Adult Programs Portfolio aligns with our mission by providing high quality programs and services within community centers and school partnerships.Reporting to the Director, the Clinician is responsible for providing mental health services to ESH's workforce development programs. The Clinician will be part of the social services department and is expected to help individuals, families, and groups in the workforce development portfolio to develop coping skills, work through problems, and improve overall well-being. This position's direct reports include case workers/managers and interacts with both the Jobs Plus and Post-Secondary Pathways programs. With a focus on mental health, the Clinician provides assessments, treatment planning/referrals, crisis intervention and overall coordination of care – improving mental well-being, strengthening relationships and promoting life skills.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesUnder the supervision of the Social Services Department lead and Program Directors, the Clinician will be responsible for but not limited to the following:Complete initial needs assessment with participant/family.Build relationships with participating clients through consistent individual/group counseling sessions or mediations.Develop plan for interventions and will include, but not be limited to, gathering information from program leaders, staff, and members.Use validated tools to screen consenting members for mental health symptoms and re-screen members at appropriate intervals (which will vary, based on population needs and the interventions selected) to identify changes in symptoms and adjust clinical services.For psychoeducation, facilitate one-on-one sessions and/or group sessions, based on the evidence-based intervention selected.Provide on-site clinical counseling services for participants. On-site services would be delivered in a manner that ensures privacy and confidentiality for those receiving services.Provide community referrals for participants and family as needed. Follow up on referrals to determine outcomes and help resolve barriers. Provide linkage between participant/family and community resource.Provide clinical counseling and connections to additional treatment as needed.Make recommendations related to methods to promote engagement to increase program participation.Ability to maintain a HIPAA compliant professional work environment.Develops and maintains positive relationships with residents and their families and aids when needed.Completes appropriate paperwork and recommends improvements and more efficient ways of operating the department.Other DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Additional qualifications include:Education / ExperienceMust be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT) or a licensed psychoanalyst.Must have extensive knowledge of family systems, family therapy, and behavioral interventions should have at least five (5) years of clinical practice experience services.Ability to work independently, prioritize, think critically, problem solve and self-motivateAbility to work in a team environment collaborating effectively, efficiently and respectfullyMust possess a positive attitude, be highly articulate and professionalStrong computer and software application skills.Strong presentation skills and ability to represent the organization in dialogues with other agencies and community meetings.Excellent skills in verbal and written communication.Demonstrated knowledge of community service/development.Strong computer skills and technological experience including Microsoft Office (Word, Teams, etc.) Google Suite (Google Classroom, Docs, and Sheets) and similar programsCompetenciesTeamwork OrientationCommunication ProficiencyCustomer/Client FocusTime Management/Ability to meet deadlines/Arrive to work on timeOrganization of records, emails, and documents.ClearanceEmployees must be clear to work at ESH. Occasional Saturday hours may be required, as aligned to the needs of the program/ service.
