This role combines recruiting, onboarding, coaching, relationship management, and retention strategies to ensure our drivers have the support they need to build rewarding careers with zTrip.

What You'll Do as a Driver Development & Retention Manager:Driver Recruitment & Workforce Growth

• Attract and engage qualified driver candidates through job boards, referrals, social media, networking, community outreach, and recruiting events.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective drivers.
• Attend job fairs, hiring events, and community activities to promote driving opportunities with zTrip.
• Screen applicants and conduct initial interviews.
• Guide candidates through the hiring and onboarding process.
• Promote zTrip as an employer and driving partner of choice within the community.
• Develop innovative recruiting strategies to meet driver acquisition goals.

Driver Onboarding & Development

• Conduct new driver orientations and onboarding sessions.
• Assist drivers with required paperwork, licensing documentation, and onboarding requirements.
• Ensure new drivers have the tools, resources, and information necessary for success.
• Serve as a primary point of contact throughout the onboarding process.
• Educate drivers on company policies, procedures, expectations, and best practices.
• Create and facilitate coaching and development opportunities that support driver success.

Driver Coaching, Engagement & Retention

• Build strong, positive relationships with drivers throughout their employment journey.
• Conduct regular check-ins and follow-up meetings with new and tenured drivers.
• Coach drivers on performance, professionalism, customer service, and career development.
• Identify and address challenges impacting driver satisfaction and retention.
• Connect drivers with resources and support to help them succeed.
• Develop and implement driver engagement and retention initiatives.
• Partner with Operations and leadership teams to improve the overall driver experience.
• Recognize driver achievements and promote a culture of appreciation, accountability, and success.

Reporting & Collaboration

• Maintain accurate recruiting, onboarding, coaching, and retention records.
• Track hiring, engagement, and retention metrics.
• Provide regular reports and updates to leadership.
• Collaborate with management teams to identify workforce needs and retention opportunities.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance recruiting, onboarding, driver development, and retention efforts.

Qualifications of a Driver Development & Retention Manager:Preferred

• Experience in recruiting, workforce development, employee engagement, retention, human resources, customer service, operations, sales, or a related field.
• Strong coaching, mentoring, and relationship-building abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and results-oriented.
