Polisher Job Description

The Polisher is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, shine, and presentation of all glassware, silverware, and tableware used in the lounge. The ideal candidate is meticulous, detail-oriented, and committed to ensuring that all items are spotless and ready for service. The Polisher plays a crucial role in maintaining the lounge's high standards of presentation and guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Polish and shine glassware, silverware, and tableware to ensure they are free of water spots, fingerprints, and streaks.
2. Inspect each item carefully for cleanliness and ensure they meet the lounge's presentation standards.
3. Ensure that polished items are properly stored and ready for use by servers and bartenders.
4. Organize polished items in designated storage areas, ensuring that they are readily available for service staff.
5. Handle glassware, silverware, and tableware with care to prevent breakage or damage.
6. Assist with cleaning tasks related to dishwashing, ensuring items are thoroughly washed before polishing.
7. Help maintain a clean and organized workspace in the kitchen or back-of-house area.
8. Work closely with bartenders, servers, and kitchen staff to ensure they have the necessary items polished and ready for service.
9. Replenish polished items during service to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
10. Use polishing cloths and equipment properly to maintain the condition of all items.
11. Report any broken or damaged items to management for replacement.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a polishing or similar back-of-house role is preferred, but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work efficiently and handle repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and handle delicate items with care.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
