Primary Responsibilities: Initial setup of new internal reinsurance agreements Monthly administration of new reinsurance agreements Ensure accurate and timely posting of reinsurance journal entries per monthly activity Perform quarterly reinsurance variance analysis and true-up as needed Participate in the monthly/quarterly close process as required Provide supporting documentation for internal/external and regulatory audits Communicate effectively with auditors at appropriate levels to resolve issues and findings and prepare responses Prepare 401k employee benefit plan financial statements Support various Corporate Accounting activities, as requested, and accounting related projects, as assigned Perform ad hoc projects, reporting, and consulting with segment finance teams You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 2+ years of public accounting busy seasons Ability to comprehend and apply generally accepted accounting principles, and research and analyze accounting related issues Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously Ability to build and maintain solid working relationships across the organization Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel (ex. Pivot tables, vlookups), Word, and PowerPoint Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Hyperion Essbase and PeopleSoft Financials Ability to understand and implement reinsurance accounting Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $60,200 - $107,400 annually based on full-time employment.
