Job Summary

We are seeking a Commercial Loan Processor for a direct hire opportunity in Aliso Viejo, CA. This role is ideal for a mortgage lending professional who thrives in a fast-paced commercial lending environment and enjoys managing loan files from commitment through closing.

The Commercial Loan Processor will support high-volume origination activity, coordinate closely with loan originators, brokers, borrowers, escrow, title, insurance, and appraisal partners, and help deliver a responsive, organized, and positive lending experience. This is a strong opportunity for someone who is detail-driven, highly accountable, and comfortable working with urgency while maintaining accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Process and support commercial loan transactions from loan commitment through closing, with a target of closing loans within 10 days of receiving signed commitments.
- Issue loan commitments, borrower loan packages, loan applications, disclosures, loan documents, and required supporting documentation.
- Coordinate Zoom borrower interviews, appraisal orders, preliminary title, escrow, insurance, and third-party vendor requirements.
- Lead daily origination pipeline meetings by providing clear, accurate updates on active deals, priorities, and closing timelines.
- Communicate with loan originators, brokers, borrowers, title, escrow, insurance providers, and appraisers to create a positive customer experience.
- Maintain accurate pipeline tracking, data collection, broker outreach documentation, and loan file records.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary: $70,000 to $80,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Manage commercial loan processing activity from commitment through closing.
- Coordinate loan packages, borrower interviews, appraisals, title, escrow, insurance, and closing documentation.
- Track pipeline activity, data collection, broker communication, and key deadlines.
- Support origination volume goals through responsive communication and accurate documentation.

- Two or more years of mortgage lending experience required.
- Experience in commercial lending, hard money lending, loan processing, underwriting, compliance, or origination preferred.
- Knowledge of loan documents, credit documents, insurance documents, HUD-1 statements, promissory notes, deeds of trust, assignments, and closing documentation.
- Understanding of title, escrow, preliminary title reports, and requirements to obtain clear title before closing.
- Ability to evaluate income information, property values, borrower ability to pay, and use of proceeds.
- Working knowledge of business and investment purpose transactions versus consumer transactions.
- Proficiency with data entry, PDF software, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience working with mortgage loan brokers and mortgage industry software systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a responsive, customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based lending environment.
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, sound judgment, persistence, and grace under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

- Three to five years of relevant commercial mortgage, private lending, or hard money loan processing experience.
- Experience managing high-volume loan pipelines with strict turnaround expectations.
- Familiarity with broker outreach, broker relationship management, and CRM database documentation.
- Experience using ACT database or similar CRM platforms.
- Prior success working in a fast-paced lending environment with brokers, borrowers, originators, and third-party vendors.
