Work Environment

Our hospital environment in Boca Raton is designed for both patient care excellence and employee satisfaction. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work in a state-of-the-art facility equipped with the latest therapeutic technologies and equipment. The typical schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a healthy work-life balance while ensuring that patients receive consistent and high-quality care throughout the week.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of customized physical therapy treatment plans, tailored to meet individual patient goals and needs.
• Continuously monitor and document patient progress throughout the rehabilitation process, providing regular updates to the supervising Physical Therapist to help adjust treatment strategies as necessary.
• Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and important functional activities to encourage independence and promote safe recovery practices.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during therapy sessions, engaging in proactive measures to mitigate risks and enhance the patient experience.
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals, to coordinate comprehensive patient care and optimize rehabilitation outcomes.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations, hospital policies, and Florida state licensing standards to uphold the integrity and confidentiality of patient information.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In our hospital setting, you will engage with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological conditions, and various injuries. Many patients have specific rehabilitation goals, and your expertise will be crucial in guiding them through challenges, supporting their emotional and physical recovery, and fostering a culture of empowerment.

Qualifications

• Completion of an Associate's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program is required.
• Possession of a current Florida PTA license or eligibility for licensure is essential.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandated for maintaining patient safety.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills are necessary for effective patient interactions and team collaboration.
• A compassionate, patient-centered approach and a commitment to working within a team-oriented environment are critical for success in this role.

Preferred Experience

• While not required, prior experience in a hospital or acute care setting is highly desirable and will enhance your understanding of the fast-paced healthcare environment.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges from $55,000 to $60,000 per year, based on your experience and qualifications.
