ABL Director - Group Credit Leader

Position Overview Manages a portfolio of Asset Based Lending (ABL) transactions to maintain overall credit quality, perform collateral monitoring, risk mitigation, and ensure compliance with operational and regulatory requirements. Works closely with Truist clients to meet their loan needs and performs ongoing portfolio monitoring within Truist risk tolerances. Responsibilities Lead a team of asset managers to manage and mitigate credit risk of ABL portfolio transactions. Develop and manage a team to complete on‑time, accurate amendment memos, trend cards, and problem loan reports; maintain risk ratings and financial spread, maintain credit files, manage collateral diligence including review and analysis of field exams and appraisals, and uphold regulatory requirements. Attract, retain, and develop a team of top credit professionals. Drive the restructuring of problem loans and workouts and closely monitor complex transactions. Manage ABL credit, operational, and market risk within pre‑approved risk tolerance levels. Communicate and oversee compliance with risk policies and procedures. Work with originations, structuring, legal, compliance and risk partners to align strategic objectives, share market knowledge, and facilitate seamless execution. Demonstrate Truist culture and values. Qualifications BA/BS degree. 15+ years of related work experience; 3‑5 years of management experience. Extensive subject‑matter expertise with advanced understanding of industry drivers, client interaction, product positioning, underwriting, workout and risk mitigation strategies. Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence across functional areas to resolve complex issues. Strong interpersonal skills that foster teamwork, trust, creativity/innovation and accountability. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and insightfully. Evidence of ability to develop and retain top talent. Preferred Qualifications MBA degree with a finance focus. Diversified product structuring, underwriting and portfolio management experience. Compensation The annual base salary for this position is $200,000 – $240,000. At least 10 days of vacation (prorated), 10 sick days (prorated) and paid holidays.
