The opportunity

As a Senior Consultant in Cybersecurity, you will help clients modernize identity environments with a focus on Microsoft Entra ID, on-premises Active Directory and hybrid directory services. You will contribute hands‑on technical delivery across identity modernization, authentication, governance and security posture improvement programs. This role is a fit for professionals who can apply practical engineering skills, support client workshops and help translate technical requirements into secure, reliable identity solutions.

Your key responsibilities

• Designing, implementing, administering and optimizing Microsoft Entra ID‑centric identity solutions in cloud‑first and hybrid environments.
• Supporting hybrid identity architectures, including synchronization, coexistence, troubleshooting and integration between Microsoft Entra ID and on‑premises Active Directory.
• Implementing modern authentication and authorization controls such as conditional access, multifactor authentication, passwordless authentication, single sign‑on and risk‑based access.
• Supporting identity governance activities such as joiner, mover and leaver processes, access packages, access reviews and privileged identity management.
• Providing hands‑on Active Directory support, including group policy, organizational unit design, DNS, replication health, backup and restore, posture hardening and root cause analysis.

Skills and attributes for success

You will need the ability to solve technical problems, document decisions clearly and communicate progress, risks and recommendations to project teams and clients. You should be comfortable working in distributed teams, supporting workshops and mentoring junior team members while escalating complex issues when needed.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Experience with Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID across design, implementation, administration or support activities.
• Hands‑on knowledge of hybrid identity, Entra Connect or Cloud Sync, directory synchronization, group policy, DNS, replication and identity troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with identity security controls such as conditional access, multifactor authentication, passwordless authentication, privileged identity management and access reviews.
• The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs.

Ideally, you will have

• Experience with PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, LDAP queries, bulk operations, certificate or PKI troubleshooting, runbooks and technical documentation.
• Experience with identity governance, privileged access, posture assessments, NIST or CIS‑aligned security controls, or adjacent IAM platforms such as SailPoint, Saviynt or CyberArk.
• Microsoft identity, Azure, security, governance, ITIL or related certifications.
• Knowledge of how to leverage firm‑approved AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot.

• We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $104,800 to $192,200. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $125,800 to $218,500. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
• Join us in our team‑led and leader‑enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40‑60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
