JOB TITLE:

Quality Control Department Manager

JOB PURPOSE:

The Quality Control Department Manager is responsible for the department success related to product quality and the Quality Management System (QMS) within a sole manufacturing facility (IL Location). The Quality Control Department Manager ensures product compliance to specifications, recommends and implements improvements to the QMS, and most importantly, provides leadership support and solutions to the Quality Control Team Leader who leads the daily activities of the Quality Control Technician Teams. The Quality Control Department Manager collaborates with Engineering, Production, Shipping and Compliance Departments as part of ensuring overall success to align with the Company's 'core value' of manufacturing and delivering defect-free products to it's customers. The Quality Control Department Manager reports to the Vice President of Quality & Production.

JOB DUTIES (including and are not limited to the following):

• Leads the Quality Control Department, monitoring workflow in relation to organizational goals for continuous improvement.
• Oversees the process for testing subassemblies and completed products to assure compliance to specifications, safety, and quality requirements, redeveloping as needed.
• Oversees equipment needs/parameters/requirements, such digital meters, current meters, transformers, load banks, hi-pot testers, current clamps, infrared cameras, and specialty computer software in support of the responsibilities of the Quality Control Team Leader.
• Identifies and reports quality-related challenges to Senior Leadership based on test findings.
• Recommends and implements approved improvements to the Quality Management System (QMS), including recommending additional equipment or tools needed.
• Collaborates with Company Department Leaders to remain knowledgeable of customer requirements, critical relationships, and adjust daily assignments and leadership strategies accordingly.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of experience in a leadership role within product manufacturing, or similar, with a focus on Quality Control or Quality Management Systems.
• 2+ years of experience in the electronic or electromechanical field.
• Must be able to read CAD drawings and schematics.
• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Must be fluent in MSOffice and GSuite.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Full-Time, In-Person

ANNUAL SALARY:

• Negotiable based on applicant experience

SCHEDULE:

Monday through Friday, Daytime Office Hours (approx. shift time can be set in interview process, based on candidates needs combined with productive hours of the facility location)
