Computed Tomography TechnologistThis is a 13-week contract position.Rotating Shift - 8 x 2The Computed Tomography Technologist independently performs imaging procedures and a variety of technical tasks that necessitate independent judgment and initiative in applying prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.Responsibilities:Independently performs computed tomography procedures utilizing established scan protocols, including contrast administration.Adjusts protocols as needed to ensure optimal results in data acquisition.Utilizes complex imaging equipment for the acquisition, analysis, reconstruction, and documentation of image data.Demonstrates proper technique in venipuncture and use of power injectors per established protocols.Administers PO, rectal, and IV contrast per physician orders, assessing patients for potential risks prior to administration.Interacts with patients and co-workers with care, respect, and dignity to expedite patient care efficiently.Communicates instructions clearly to patients to alleviate their fears and ensure cooperation.Identifies all patients properly using two identifiers and adheres to universal protocols during procedures.Documents patient history in electronic records as required, and ensures proper coding and tracking of exams.Performs additional duties as assigned, in accordance with system-wide competencies.Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or accredited CNMT program.CT registry must be acquired within 18 months from the date of primary registry or date of hire if already obtained.Minimum of 2 years of experience required.ARRT Certificate and Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC) required.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and compliance with PA Act 31, 33, 34, and 73.Why ARMStaffing?Health Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and moreOnboarding Made Easy: We handle physicals, titers, and more so you can focus on careClinical Support: In-house clinical team available to assist and advocate401k Retirement Plan: Eligible after waiting period; 4% match with 5% contributionRecruiter Matching: Get paired with a recruiter based on your location and specialtyExtras: Travel reimbursement, housing allowance, meals, referral bonuses, and moreWe're not the only ones who think ARMStaffing should be your first choice.
