Job Opportunity

Join a dynamic healthcare team providing comprehensive nursing care in a six-bed Medical Observation and Surgical Unit (MOSU). This facility cares for a variety of post-surgical patients, including those recovering from cardiac catheterizations, respiratory failure, sepsis, diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), acute kidney injury (AKI), and unstable arrhythmias.

Shift Details

Night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM with on-call responsibilities

12-hour shifts

Patient Care Ratios:

• Critical Care: 2:1
• Step Down: 4:1
• Standard: 6:1

Key Responsibilities

• Initiate, titrate, and manage medications including vasopressors, thrombolytics, antihypertensives, antidiabetics, and sedatives.
• Manage ventilator settings and care for patients requiring mechanical ventilation.
• Conduct hemodynamic monitoring, telemetry monitoring, and interpretation of results.
• Oversee sepsis management protocols.
• Perform central line, arterial line, and chest tube management procedures.
• Administer blood products as required.

• Mechanical ventilators
• BiPAP/CPAP systems
• High-flow nasal cannulas
• Bladder scanners

Additional Information

• Flu vaccination is mandatory without exceptions.
• A travel radius restriction of 100 miles applies for applicants.
• No more than three days off may be requested over a 13-week contract.
• The facility reserves the right to cancel up to three shifts during a 13-week assignment; guaranteed hours will not apply.
