Job Summary:
A registered nurse (RN) specializing in Labor and Delivery (L&D) is needed for a 12-hour day shift assignment at a highly reputable facility located in Austin, Texas. The position is for a 13-week contract, beginning on July 13, 2026. Candidates must bring their nursing license on the first day. The role involves caring for high-risk maternal patients within a Level 4 maternal center, requiring a dynamic and team-oriented approach.

Job Details:

• Location: Austin, Texas
• Shift: 12-hour days, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, experience with high-risk maternal patients, circulating in operating rooms, triage experience, proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems including CPN and Meditech, 0+ years of experience
• Preferred Qualifications: More than 5 years of experience, team-oriented personality, ability to multi-task, adapt quickly to changing situations, familiarity with high-risk obstetrics procedures such as vaginal and cesarean sections, tubal ligations, cerclage placement/removal, D&C, C-hysterectomy, PASD cases
• Additional Information: The unit has very tenured staff with long-term leadership, supportive management that may assist in patient care if census demands, and is currently undergoing renovation to update all patient rooms.
