Operating Room Nurse (RN) - Circulator

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM, Monday to Friday (5x8 hour shifts). On-call requirements are included, with 1 weekday and weekend rotation.

Job Description

The Operating Room Nurse (RN) demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in patient care within the operating room. As a member of the surgical team, you will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other personnel to provide exceptional care according to standards and regulatory guidelines. Responsibilities include ensuring supplies and timeliness of procedures, effective communication with families, updating physician preference cards, as well as scrubbing and assisting during surgical cases.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the availability of surgical supplies and equipment.
• Coordinate with the surgical team for timely case management.
• Communicate effectively with patients' families regarding surgical procedures.
• Update and maintain physician preference cards.
• Scrub and assist during various surgical procedures.
• Supervise personnel delivering patient care in the operating room.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Operating Room Nurse (RN).
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Experience in general, orthopedic, OBGYN, podiatry, plastics, endoscopy, trauma, and DaVinci robotics.
• Experience with both adult and pediatric patients is required.
