Description

Apple is seeking a talented media monitoring and intelligence analyst to support the U.S. corporate communications operation in a fast-moving news environment. This is a unique opportunity for someone to help track and assess news from around the world of interest to Apple, and to evaluate media coverage across Apple's business.

Responsibilities
  • Tracking international, financial and corporate news from around the world that is of interest to Apple and the broader industry.
  • Alerting the PR team and others about breaking news from TV, print, online and social media.
  • Writing concise and objective summaries of key stories, and compiling longer reports as needed.
  • Compiling editorial calendars and other tools to track and discover PR opportunities and potential media issues.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 2+ years' experience in and passion for international news and current affairs, including business, technology and politics. This might include roles as a journalist, PR specialist or researcher.
  • Excellent news judgment and an ability to identify issues that could affect Apple's business.
  • Very high standard of written communications, with an aptitude for distilling complex information quickly and accurately under pressure. Familiarity with AP style a plus.
  • Driven and highly motivated individual. The role will involve taking responsibility for delivering high-quality reports, often on tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to focus, simplify tasks, and manage multiple projects and programs from start to finish under pressure.
  • Deep understanding of topics relevant to Apple's core values, such as privacy, accessibility and the environment.
  • Good understanding of all forms of news and communication channels, including the latest social and online platforms.
  • Effective collaborator who will work cross-functionally across teams and geographies while demonstrating integrity at all times.
  • Higher education preferred. Journalism experience or qualification desirable.
  • A second language is strongly preferred.
Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $119,700 and $180,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You'll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses — including tuition. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments as well as relocation.
